Technical Drawings: Bar

These are a set of bar drawings I did recently for a home in Society Hill. The main challenge I ran into was making room for the refrigerator and seating without taking too much away from the circulation, especially at the bottom of the stairs.

The back bar includes a mirror, hidden electrical outlets, extra wine storage, and push latch panels that open for liquor storage. The peninsula has a brass foot rail, and seating for four.

These plans show how I resolved the spacing of the refrigerator, seating, and circulation path

The peninsula includes two drawers, trash and recycling pull outs, and storage.

This project is still in process, but I will hopefully have pictures up of the installation by Christmas.

Work Sample: 09/29/14

Hey! It's been a while! I've been running around working on a bunch of different things like surveying North Philly factories, putting together room looks for a life stylist, designing millwork, and even planning my friends wedding.

This is the room look and there was a schedule attached. I wanted to use local stores and unique sources to show a range and to provide one of a kind options for the client. I did use art.com for one print, anthropology for the concrete lamp, and Neiman Marcus for the rug, but I felt they helped the look. This is the inspiration image I was given:

Here's a technical drawing of a kitchen I drew up using AutoCad14 (I do love crazy arrows, thanks for noticing!)

And here's a quick rendering I did for a design meeting. It took me an hour and I used Photoshop Elements. I did this so the clients would have a better idea of what their back bar would look like, since not everyone can understand technical drawings.
